RV Solar Panels
What are RV Solar Panels?
RV stands for recreational vehicle. These solar panels are able to be fitted to the roof of your vehicle and generate electricity as you go.
Power & Charging Time
The power output depends on the pre-packaged solar system that you buy. Generally full scale kits vary from 300watts to 2000watts. To achieve full power capability you will typically need 5 hours of sunshine, very easy to get in the summer time (excluding some regions of course!).
You can also buy smaller simple RV solar panels which will give out between 10watts and 150watts.
Cost
The cost varies based on the different sized solar kits you can buy. The cost will be in the region $500 up to $5,000. Given the high value of the kits when buying you should contact the companies to see if they can maybe do you a deal to get a higher powered unit at a discounted price.
What If The Sun Doesn't Shine?
The region you are in obviously affects how much sunshine you will get. To combat the worry of not getting enough sun some people have also been adding some wind turbines to their recreational vehicles. This reduces your risk and almost guarantees a decent amount of energy every day.
